The Maine Real Estate & Development Association (MEREDA) is excited to virtually bring you its 2021 Spring Conference. Not our typical “spring conference”, this year’s virtual event will combine the unveiling of the 2021 MEREDA Index, as well as recognition of our 2020 Notable Project Recipients!
MEREDA Index: As a key economic indicator for Maine, the MEREDA Index measures the pulse of the state’s real estate industry. It is the leading way our industry tracks changes in Maine’s real estate markets. It’s a composite of nine measures reflecting activity in both new development and existing properties, in commercial and residential markets, as well as construction employment.
The current MEREDA Index contains a measurement and presentation of the real estate market in Maine, and its various components for all of 2020. Dr. Charles Colgan, the economist who prepares the Index, will be on hand to discuss the three sectors of the Index, followed by a panel discussion between three experts in each of those sectors. Drew Sigfridson of The Boulos Company will cover the construction market, Joe Dasco of Reger Dasco Properties will cover residential, and Cheri Bonawitz of Malone Commercial Brokers will cover the commercial market.
MEREDA Celebrates Real Estate Development in Maine: MEREDA is thrilled to recognize some of the state’s most noteworthy and significant real estate projects. All not only embody MEREDA’s belief in responsible development, but also involved a significant investment of resources and job creation statewide The Top 6 Notable Projects for 2020 have been chosen and will be recognized at this event.

CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS: This course has been approved or 2 hours of BROKER and LEGAL continuing education credits. Attendees seeking credits will be required to confirm their virtual attendance by completing an exam based on the material presented. The exam will be embedded on the steaming page below the video and chat window. You’ll be able to fill it out right on the stream page as you are watching or at the end of the program. Click submit once you have completed the exam. Exams must be submitted before end of day, May 20, 2021. You must receive a score of 85% in order to receive your credits.
